Planting Seeds for the Future

November 12 - 13, 2008
University of Memphis
Fogelman Executive Conference Center
330 Innovation Drive
Memphis, Tennessee 38152

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

Traditional agriculture is changing. Higher petroleum costs, increased development of biofuels, growing interest in “green” products and dramatic advances in technology have created a new business environment for biobased products. Alternative, or “new” crops can be used in high-value food, health and industrial applications. This conference will explore some of those non-traditional crops, how they can be utilized and the challenges of developing a “new crops” business.

Join with farmers, ag and bio-products professionals, technology developers, educators, researchers, government officials and entrepreneurs who recognize the many opportunities available from the emerging bio-economy.
